Have you ever wondered: How much is my diamond really worth?

How to get your diamond evaluation?

The truth is: every diamond is unique and the value is often very different. Many factors effect the value of your diamonds, however, the 4C’s are the universally accepted diamond-grading criteria established by the GIA and are fundamental when valuing diamonds. They are:

  1. Colour: White diamonds are graded on a scale of D (colourless) through Z (lighter colour). Other fancy colours of diamonds (yellows, pinks, and blues) are graded on a different scale.
  1. Carat Weight: GIA defines a metric “carat” as 200 milligrams.
  1. Cut: some professionals believe that this is the most important factor to value your diamonds. A well brilliant-cut diamond is luminous and reflects white and coloured lights.
  1. Clarity: The GIA Diamond Clarity Scale consists of 11 specific grades, grading from FL (flawless) to I3 (visibly flawed).
